To better serve you, we have compiled the following answers to questions about our ReadyCash service in Bangladesh:

What do I have to do to get a ReadyCash card?

Anyone can get a ReadyCash card, and it is very easy to apply! You can either visit one of our participating bank branches (found in the "locate a bank branch" section of this site) or by contacting us by email. Your request will be forwarded to one of our helpful marketing executives.

Is there an income requirement?

No. You never have to reveal your income to one of our representatives during the application process. (In the future, participating banks may implement credit programs, and only then, if you desire, you may reveal income information to receive a line of credit).

Do I have to produce evidence of my employment, residency, assets, income, etc...?

No documentation is required during the application process. (In the future, participating banks may implement credit programs, and only then, if you desire, you may provide documentation to receive a line of credit).

Do I have to have a bank account at a certain bank?

No, you are not required to have a bank account to use and / or maintain a ReadyCash card.

Which banks are currently offering the ReadyCash card?

Currently, Janata Bank, Sonali Bank, Agrani Bank, and First Security Bank issue the card. We are continually adding to our bank network.

Is there a minimum deposit?

Each bank has its own requirements. A minimum "load" requirement of Tk. 500 is common.

What does it cost to get a ReadyCash card?

The application fee for the ReadyCash card is, a very reasonable Tk. 995.

Is there an annual fee?

At the end of each year, you can re-validate the card for an additional full year for a fee of Tk. 995. (*less than 3 taka per day)

How long is the card valid?

The same card can be used until it becomes destroyed, lost or inoperable. The validity is renewed at the end of each year.

Will merchants charge me a fee to use the card?

No. Merchants should never ask you to pay an additional fee to use the card. They have agreed not to do so. If a merchant ever asks you to pay additional money, please contact us. (contact information is available through this web site).

Is there a limit on the card, and if so, how do you determine the limit?

You may deposit any amount of money you desire on the card (from Tk. 500 to Tk. 1,50,000). In the future, some of the participating banks may decide to extend credit. In such cases, the limit will be determined by the issuing bank.

Can money be deposited through transfers from other accounts or is it possible to make automatic monthly deposits to a ReadyCash account?

Some employers are using the convenient ReadyCash payroll program. Additionally, you may ask your bank to make regular deposits to the ReadyCash funds pool account on your behalf and notify us of the deposits. We will work with you to make the service as convenient and hassle-free as possible.

How do I pay my utility bill with the card?

Step one: Bring your utility account numbers, and visit a ReadyCash window at a participating bank branch and inform the officer that you would like to pay utility bills with your card. The officer will program the utility account numbers in your card.

Step two: Before your bills are due, visit any merchant point of sale terminal, and the clerk will help you pay your bill through the merchant terminal.

Where can I use my card?

How many days will it take to receive a card?

Usually, we can deliver your card the day after you sign the application form.

From where and how many branches can I charge my card, and, how can I get the addresses of the branches?

Please visit the "Locate a Bank Branch" section of this site.

How can I know the balance on my ReadyCash card?

Visit any ReadyCash terminal and by inserting your card and asking for a 'balance inquiry,' you can find out the balance on the card.

Does anyone discount as I use the card?

Many merchants provide discounts to ReadyCash cardholders. In the near future, we plan to add a section to this web site to help you identify these merchants. In the meantime, we distribute notices on occasion to cardholders, notifying you of discounts offered.
